Dr. Prem Chanda is an Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry and Physics. He earned his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Purdue University and completed postdoctoral research in Medicinal Chemistry at the Scripps Research Institute. His current research is focused on the development of synthetic methodologies aimed at achieving high diastereo- and enantiomeric purity in organic molecules. His group is particularly interested in leveraging these advanced techniques for the stereoselective synthesis of small, bioactive compounds with potential applications in medicinal chemistry.
