Rachel Guilbeau is an Instructor of Library Science and a Reference Librarian at Sims Memorial Library. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in literature and a Master of Library and Information Science with a focus on archival studies, both from Louisiana State University, where she also worked in the Public Services Department of LSU Special Collections. At SLU, she provides reference services, teaches information literacy and research skills, and supports students and faculty in their research. She is also interested in the portrayal of women's mental health in media and banned and challenged books, specifically how censorship reflects societal values, impacts marginalized communities, and is preserved in archival collections.
