Dr. Rachelle F. Cope is a professor in the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management at Southeastern Louisiana University, where she has taught since 1993. She earned her Ph.D. in Business Administration with a major in Information Systems and Decision Sciences from LSU in 1996 and a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from Nicholls State University.
Dr. Cope teaches Statistics, Supply Chain Management, Database Management, and Business Analytics. She developed the College of Business’s first Business Analytics course and has played a key role in curriculum development at the university, college, and departmental levels.
Her research interests include knowledge management, waiting line modeling, organizational citizenship behavior in supply chain industries, and current delivery challenges. A publication co-authored with Dr. Robert Cope and Dr. Harold Davis, Disney's Virtual Queues: A Strategic Opportunity to Co-Brand Services?, is the most cited academic article among College of Business faculty.
Passionate about teaching, Dr. Cope works to make challenging concepts accessible while providing personalized guidance to her students. Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her husband, also a faculty member, and their two children, who both live in Texas.
