Dr. Rebecca Davis is the Director of the Center for Faculty Excellence and an Associate Professor in the Communication Sciences and Disorders program. She holds an Au.D. (Doctor of Audiology) degree from the University of Florida. She has previously worked as a clinical audiologist, providing assessment and management of hearing and balance disorders across the lifespan. Since beginning her teaching career at Southeastern in 2003, Dr. Davis strives to provide an engaging and clinically-focused classroom experience in the courses she teaches on topics in acoustics, hearing, and management of hearing loss. In 2021, Dr. Davis received the President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Dr. Davis has research interests in hearing assessment of special populations, aural rehabilitation, animal-assisted therapy, and interprofessional education related to aging.
