Dr. Russell McKenzie currently serves as Assistant Dean of the College of Business and Professor of Economics. He holds a Master’s in Economic Development from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Ph.D. in Economics from Oklahoma State University. His primary areas of teaching include applied microeconomics and environmental and natural resource economics. His research has been published in journals such as the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, Papers in Regional Science, and the American Journal of Business Education.

Dr. McKenzie’s expertise lies in regional and environmental economics with a focus on resource planning and modeling. His research interests include regional and real estate economics, economics education, international business and economic policy.
