Dr. Ryan Green is a tenured Associate Professor and the Program Director for the Master of Science in Athletic Training at Southeastern Louisiana University's Department of Kinesiology and Health Studies. He earned his Ph.D. in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University, specializing in Pedagogy with a dissertation on Self-Determination Theory in Injury Rehabilitation.
With over two decades of experience in athletic training and teaching, Dr. Green has held various roles, including Clinical Education Coordinator, and has taught a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses in kinesiology and athletic training. His extensive clinical experience includes working with the United States Olympic Committee and providing direct medical care for NCAA football and women's gymnastics teams.

Area of Expertise

Dr. Green's research is focused on health, physical literacy, and sports science. He has published numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts on topics such as the effects of exercise choice on running performance, the physiological effects of running footwear, and the impact of standing workstations on college students. He is also a frequent presenter at national and regional conferences, sharing his expertise on running biomechanics, injury prevention, and the psychological aspects of rehabilitation.
Committed to both his profession and the academic community, Dr. Green holds leadership positions in professional organizations, including Vice President-elect of Health for the Southern Tier Region of the National Academy of Health and Physical Literacy, and has served on numerous university and departmental committees. He is dedicated to advancing the field of athletic training through teaching, research, and service.
