Steele Russell is an instructor in the Department of Computer Science at Southeastern Louisiana University. He holds a B.S. and two M.S. degrees from the University of Louisiana - Lafayette. His teaching interests include artificial intelligence, embedded software systems, and discrete mathematics.
Russell is active in the Honors Program and enjoys teaching honors courses. He serves as a faculty advisor for the Upsilon Pi Epsilon, an international honor society for the computing and information disciplines. His research interests are centered on the transformative potential of technology. His work explores deep learning, computational modeling, and computer science education. He is particularly interested in the impact of artificial intelligence on higher education.
