Stella Helluin, CPA, is a full-time faculty member in the Department of Accounting and Finance at Southeastern Louisiana University. She is also serves as the Accounting Internship Coordinator. She earned her BS in Accounting from LSU and her MBA from the University of Houston. Stella began her professional career in the audit department at KPMG in Houston, later working for a small CPA firm and in industry accounting at Compaq Computer Corporation. She has been teaching at Southeastern since 1994, with a brief industry stint and four years at Nicholls State University. She teaches Applications of Technology in Accounting, Intro to Financial Accounting, and Internship courses, and has worked to expand internship opportunities for accounting students. Stella was recognized with the Louisiana Society of CPAs’ 2017 Distinguished Achievement in Accounting Education Award and is passionate about helping students succeed in the classroom and beyond.
