Stoulig is an Instructor in the Department of Biological Sciences. She received her Ph.D. in 2005 from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans where her research focused on the use of covariates in the linkage analysis of complex traits. She also worked as a research assistant on a genetics of familial prostate cancer study in African Americans. Dr. Stoulig’s teaching includes introductory biology lectures and labs, genetics, professional aspects of biology, the profession of biology, capstone seminar, and Virus Hunters II - Bioinformatics. She also teaches GMOs & STEM Education, a special topics course that provides hands-on experience in molecular genetics laboratory techniques for Southeastern, community college, and high school students.
