About:
Dr. Hudson is Professor of Mathematics and Head of the Department of Mathematics. A native of Bastrop and Farmerville, Louisiana, he obtained his B.S. in Mathematics and B.S. in Computer Science from Northeast Louisiana University in 1986. He earned his M.S. (1988) and Ph.D. (1992) in Mathematics from Texas A&M University. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada from 1992 until 1994 before serving as Assistant and Associate Professor of Mathematics at East Carolina University from 1994 through 2005. He has been Mathematics Department Head since July 2005.
Teaching Focus:
Dr. Hudson has most recently taught College Algebra, Applied Calculus, Linear Algebra I, Matrix Algebra, Real Analysis, and Topology.
Operator Algebras, specifically, Nonselfadjoint Operator Algebra and Matrix Algebras.
