Dr. Ziba Rashidian is a Professor of English, specializing in 20th and 21st Century World Literature, Animal Studies, and Environmental Humanities. She holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from the University at Buffalo in New York and an MFA in Creative Writing with a focus on poetry from The American University in Washington, D.C. She has published book chapters on critical animal studies and petrofiction.
20th and 21st Century Comparative Literature, with sub-specializations in European, African and South Asian literature. Her recent work focuses on the Environmental Humanities, with an emphasis on the Anthropocene.
