Films on Demand: Digital Educational Video

Sims Library recently entered a subscription for Films on Demand: Digital Educational Video. The collection includes over 20,000 streaming videos covering 29 academic subject areas. Topics include Art & Architecture, English, History, Music & Dance, Psychology, Health & Medicine, Biology, Earth Science, Political Science, Communication and other subjects.

The collection includes videos from a number of producers, including the BBC, PBS, TED, A&E, Films for the Humanities & Sciences, Ken Burns, MacNeil Lehrer, National Geographic, and other production companies.

Faculty may use the videos for streaming in Moodle or other course management systems, and for classroom viewing. The collection is available to Southeastern students and faculty, both on and off-campus. The videos may be viewed by multiple users at a time, on computers, iPads, iPhones, and other mobile devices. 

Films on Demand is accessible on the library home page, from the Articles & Databases tab, in the E-G list of Databases by Title (scroll down to Films on Demand.) Video titles may also be found in the library catalog.
