- Nationally accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs
- The Southeastern Louisiana University Play Therapy Education and Training site is one of 3 approved centers in the state. Our program is also an approved provider through the Association for Play Therapy for continuing education specific to play therapy
- Graduates meet current academic requirements for licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana as well as most other states
- Program faculty members are nationally and internationally recognized as leaders in the counseling field both at the state and national level
