Program Requirements

  • <strong>For students without an undergraduate degree in social work:</strong>
  • • Earn a 3.0 GPA or higher in your last 60 credit hours.
  • • Earn credit for designated prerequisite courses.
  • • Submit a personal statement that includes discussion of why you wish to pursue a degree in social work.
  • • Include three professional or academic letters of recommendation.
  • <strong>For students with an undergraduate degree in social work:</strong>
  • • Earn an undergraduate degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited college or university in the past five years.
  • • Earn a 3.0 GPA or higher in your last 60 credit hours and a “B” or better in all undergraduate social work courses.
  • • Submit a personal statement that includes discussion of why you wish to pursue a degree in social work.
  • • Include three letters of recommendation (a minimum of one academic and one from your undergraduate field instructor).
