Southeastern Homecoming celebration to continue after the game with Railroad Roar

HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University’s Homecoming is set for this Saturday,
Oct. 17, and the celebration will continue long after the final snap of the 7 p.m.
football game against conference foe Stephen F. Austin.
“Railroad Roar,” a project of the Southeastern Homecoming Committee in partnership
with the Greater Hammond Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Development District,
is scheduled immediately following the football game. Participating area businesses
are offering various discounts and specials for Lion fans with everything from free
coffee upgrades to discounted food and beverages. Fans should bring their game ticket
stubs and wear their green and gold to take advantage of all the specials various
downtown merchants are offering.
Participating merchants include Benny’s Place; Brady’s Restaurant; Cate Street
Seafood Station; Crescent Bar; Isabella’s of Hammond; La Caretta; Mariner’s Inn; PJ’s
Coffee of New Orleans; Red, White & Brew; Rotolo’s Pizzeria; Tacos & Beer; Tommy’s
on Thomas, Tope La’; and Your Mom’s Restaurant & Bar.
