As high school students continue to face limited opportunities for national standardized testing, Southeastern Louisiana University has responded by becoming test-flexible. A test-flexible option allows new freshmen to submit any ACT, SAT, Pre-ACT, PSAT, Accuplacer, or ALEKS scores to be used for admission.

β€œWe found the test-flexible approach would better fit the needs of our students,” said Anthony Ranatza, director of Admissions. β€œA freshman can be admitted to Southeastern as long as they have one of the listed alternate test scores to demonstrate college-level math or English placement.”

Southeastern is also offering a free admissions application through Monday, March 15, for the fall 2021 semester with no essays or recommendation letters required.

β€œWe certainly understand the continued challenges with the pandemic, so we are pleased to offer these options to assist our future Lions,” said Ranatza.
