Southeastern Computer Science Department to present Industry Connect Lecture

COMPUTER SCIENCE DEPARTMENT TO HOST INDUSTRY CONNECT LECTURE - Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Computer Science is hosting the final installment of the spring Industry Connect Distinguished Lectures April 18, at 4 p.m. Dustin Gaspard, a computer programmer and Southeastern alumnus, will serve as guest speaker and present “How has the industry changed since I graduated, and what are the emerging trends I’m seeing in the industry for the next twenty years?”.
HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Computer Science
is hosting the next installment of the spring Industry Connect Distinguished Lectures
April 18, at 4 p.m. Scheduled in the Envoc Innovation Lab, located in room 2026 in
the Computer Science and Technology Building, the free lecture is titled “How has
the industry changed since I graduated, and what are the emerging trends I’m seeing
in the industry for the next twenty years?”.
Dustin Gaspard, a computer programmer and Southeastern alumnus, will serve as
guest speaker. He began his programming career in 1998 during high school, working
with Lloyds of London. Since then, he has contributed to various projects, including
automating Post 9/11 GI Benefits and collaborating on onlinebanking.capitalone.com.
Currently, Gaspard is involved in modernizing the HR platform for the Federal government,
a project impacting over 2,000,000 employees.
Guests are welcome to attend in person at the Computer Science and Technology
