Shelby Bordelon wins Miss Southeastern crown

HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University finance major Shelby Bordelon of
Sunshine, has been chosen Miss Southeastern 2024. She also received the People’s Choice,
Talent, and Evening Gown awards.
Bordelon received her crown from Miss Southeastern 2023 Kobi Painting of Amite at the annual pageant Jan. 27 at Southeastern’s Columbia Theatre for the Performing Arts. Sponsored by the Campus Activities Board and the Office for Student Engagement, the pageant is affiliated with the Miss America Pageant System.
The top three contestants for the pageant were Bordelon, Miranda Sensat of Prairieville, and Kyndall Smith of Denham Springs.
First runner-up was Sensat, a music education major, who also received the Miss Congeniality Award, and second runner-up was Smith, a business management major, who also received the Student Government Association Academic Award.
Bordelon will advance to the Miss Louisiana Pageant that will be held in Monroe in June.
