Life Source Hospice Services

 

 

My name is Gabrielle Johnson, Volunteer Coordinator with Life Source Hospice Services. We have several volunteer opportunities that we’d love for students to take part in. We have many elderly patients in Hammond nursing home facilities who are in need of volunteer services. Depending on the requests of the patients and/or their families, visits can consist of simply checking on the patients, reading to them, polishing their nails, etc. This is a very rewarding experience.

For those students who would be interested in participating, a brief volunteer training will be provided. This is perfect for students who are majoring in medical, counseling, social services, or other human services fields.
