MESSAGES FROM THE PRESIDENT

  • Southeastern's Vision 2025
    March 07, 2019
Over this past year, the University Planning Council worked diligently to create Vision 2025, our proposed new Strategic Plan. I have endeavored to keep the entire campus community informed and engaged in the planning process through multiple email messages and links to the “Planning Portal” website which includes comprehensive information about the data, reports, processes and people involved in developing Vision 2025.
  • Strategic Planning Update
    January 30, 2019
This past fall, two subcommittees of the University Planning Council were formed following preliminary work by the Council toward creation of Vision 2025, our new university strategic plan. As you will recall, a Planning Portal was created to allow the entire campus community to follow and participate in the strategic planning process.
  • Device Inventory
    December 04, 2018

  • Budget Update
    June 19, 2017
Following a somewhat ignominious June 8 end to the Regular Legislative Session and the associated failure to adopt a State budget, the Louisiana Legislature accomplished the necessary task this past week in a brief special session that ended on June 16, 2017.
  • Budget Update
    December 16, 2016
The Louisiana Constitution requires the State budget be brought into balance in a timely fashion once a deficit has been recognized. As has been reported in the media, last month the State Revenue Estimating Conference concluded that the 2016 fiscal year State budget, which ended June 30, 2016, was approximately $300 million short of the revenue necessary to cover expenditures.
