The mission of Career Services is to assist Southeastern students and alumni with
their career exploration and job search processes by providing a wide array of valuable
career counseling and job search assistance services while meeting the hiring needs
of employers.
The Office of Career Services is dedicated to:
  • Linking our students and alumni with our employers through various recruiting, networking
    and interviewing events and services.
  • Providing comprehensive guidance and services to assist students and alumni in building
    professional resumes, enhancing interview skills, formulating career goals and developing
    job search strategies.
  • Cultivating, maintaining and nurturing relationships and partnerships among the university
    and business communities to foster awareness of and participation in our events and
Empower students and alumni with strategies to aid in life-long career and job-search
decision making through
the offering of resources, information, and education.
Development & Growth
Aid in the development and growth of students and alumni in their transition from
college to career or one career to another.
Instill a greater sense of professionalism among students & alumni to include appearance,
behavior, demeanor,
interaction and communication.
Provide opportunities to students and alumni in meeting their professional; career
goals, and to employers in meeting their hiring needs, by serving as the liaison between
these respective groups.
Encourage individual responsibility and responsiveness on the part of each of the
parties we serve through clear communication of our policies and procedures, and our
expectations of all parties with respect to one another.
