Fee Payment FAQ's

Southeastern will cancel scheduled classes of students if all appropriate balances are not paid in full by the established fee payment deadline of Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 5:00 PM. Students are encouraged to check their LeoNet account to ensure no outstanding balances are owed. Classes will be canceled for students with an unpaid balance.

How do I check/where do I find my balance?

To check your account balance, first login to your LEONet account. Click on Self Service, then Campus Finances and then Account Inquiry. In the box, "What I Owe", your outstanding charges, as well as pending Financial Aid will be listed. The "Total Due" is your remaining balance after your pending aid has been applied to the outstanding charges. You should be viewing a box like the one shown in the picture below.

Why is my Fee Statement balance due different than my current outstanding balance due in LeoNet?

The Fee Statement is a snapshot of your account at the time the statement is generated. Any changes to your account after the process will result in a difference in the outstanding balance such as the addition of pending financial aid, enrollment in the Southeastern payment plan, payments, or adding/deleting courses.

Why is my tuition different than the estimated fees on the webpage?

Specific programs follow either an inclusive program rate or a flat rate per credit hour. These programs include the EMBA program, RN to BSN program, and Online Degree programs. For the Online Degree Programs you need to click the link on the sidebar labeled Online Program Information to view further information.

I’m in a flat rate per credit hour program; why are there additional charges on my account?

Additional course and program specific fees are not part of the flat rate per credit hour.

I still plan to attend but cannot pay. What are my options?

Southeastern offers two payment options: The Southeastern Payment Plan and the Emergency Loan (if funds available). The Emergency Loan must be applied for in the Office of Financial Aid.

How can I tell if my Financial Aid is awarded (check pending Financial Aid)? This includes grants, loans, scholarships and TOPS awards.

To check your Financial Aid status, first login to your LEONET account. Click on Self Service, then Campus Finances and then View Financial Aid. Select 2024 as the Aid Year. If you do not see the award listed, you are either not awarded, have declined the award or your application is still in progress. Check your LEONET To Do List. Contact the Office of Financial Aid at 985-549-2244 if you have further questions.

How do I accept/decline pending Financial Aid?

To accept/decline your pending Financial Aid, first login to your LEONET account. Click on Self Service, then Campus Finances and then View Financial Aid. Select 2024 as the Aid Year. Click the Accept/Decline Award. Check the items you wish to accept. You may decrease the award amounts if desired. Click Submit.

If you do not see the award listed, you are either not awarded, have declined the award or your application is still in progress. Check your LEONET To Do List. Contact the Office of Financial Aid at 985-549-2244 if you have further questions.

If I am not paid by January 11, 2024, at 5:00 PM what happens?

If you have not paid your outstanding balance by January 11, 2024, at 5:00 PM, your classes will be canceled for the Spring 2024 semester. To assist you with payment, Southeastern offers two payment options: The Southeastern Payment Plan and the Emergency Loan (if funds are available).

How will I know if my classes were canceled?

To check your Spring 2024 class schedule, first login to your LEONET account. Click on Self Service, then Enrollment and My Class Schedule. Select the Spring 2024 term and click Continue. If your classes were canceled, you will see the following message: You are not registered for classes in this term.

How do I get my classes back?

Beginning Friday, January 12, 2024, you may register for Spring 2024 classes. Students will be financially responsible for any classes remaining on their schedule as of 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2024. For complete registration instructions, click here.

What if I do not plan to attend?

If you do not plan to attend Southeastern for the Spring 2024 semester, you should drop all of your classes as soon as possible. If your classes are being paid for with any type of financial aid and/or scholarships, you must drop all of your classes. You should also email registrar@southeastern.edu if you do not plan to attend for the semester.

If you have not paid all fees in full (pending financial aid is considered a payment) by the fee payment deadline of January 11, 2024, your classes will be canceled. However, you are encouraged to check your LeoNet account to ensure all classes have been canceled. For complete instructions on dropping your classes, click here.
