    Today is the target date by which most of our campus offices will resume on-campus operations during normal business hours, albeit with generally reduced staffing levels to help ensure compliance with facility capacity limits, social distancing requirements, and other public health safety guidelines.

    Governor Edwards announced last week that he was moving Louisiana into Phase Two of the White House COVID-19 guidelines for reopening. While the Governor’s new Order, effective June 5, allows for expanded operation of businesses and other establishments, it continues to restrict operational capacity of facilities and maintains social distancing requirements.

    Apparently, the Louisiana Legislature had been counting on the often-heard idiom, "Third time's the charm." In this year's third special session which ended Sunday, the Legislature finally agreed to a solution that allows the state to avert the July 1 fiscal cliff that was rapidly approaching.
