Withhold Directory Information

Any person who wishes to have the above listed information withheld from the public should submit a written request to the Office of the Registrar at any time.

If a student chooses to withhold directory information, no information  may be released on the student’s behalf except for the disclosures described in Southeastern’s annual FERPA notification.  For example, students will not be listed in news releases for semester honors or graduation.  If an outside agency should request enrollment or degree verifications, the information will not be available to them, and Southeastern faculty and staff will respond with, “I’m sorry, we do not have any information on this person.”

Annual Notification to Students

The annual FERPA notification to students provides detailed information on the privacy rights of students, the right for students to inspect their education records and the right to request an amendment to the records. Students are notified through the initial onboarding process and returning student onboarding process in WORKDAY.
