Tri Sigma and Delta Tau Delta will be in the Union handing out information  about hazing awareness and prevention and free Dum Dum lollipops.

Students will have the opportunity to put their handprints on sheet signs that will later be hung in Union throughout the week. Sponsored by the Office of Advocacy and Accountability.

Hazing Prevention Week Speaker and Candlelight Vigil
Thursday, Sept. 27 at 7 pm, Student Union Ballroom
Mari Ann Callais brings a unique way of creating a community of care in order to address concerns around hazing. Join Mari Ann and her guitar as she creates an engaging and thoughtful evening. Student Government Association will be leading a candlelight vigil in honor of hazing victims at the Katrina Rita Memorial Fountain after the program. 

Don't Be Chicken, Stand Up to Hazing
Friday, Sept. 28 at 6 pm, Quad Area of Ascension & Twelve Oaks
Zaxby's Food Truck will be on campus as we close out National Hazing Prevention Week. There will be music, food, and giveaways. 

 

Did You Know?

Louisiana just passed a number of antihazing laws. Hazing is now a criminal offense punishable up to five years and could carry a fine of up to ten thousand dollars. Student organizations are mandated to receive one hour of hazing training. Learn More >>
