Southeastern to host master class with Koresh Dance Company

HAMMOND - Southeastern Louisiana University will host a free master class on campus Feb. 16 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Kinesiology and Health Studies Building dance studio.
The advanced modern jazz class for Southeastern students and community dancers 13 years and older will include warm up, technique and the opportunity to learn choreography from the Koresh Dance team scheduled to perform at the Columbia Theatre for the Performing Arts that evening at 7:30.
"The class by Koresh Dance Company members will help improve dancers' precision, flow and musicality through challenging choreography that explores the fusion of different movement techniques," said Professor and Dance Coordinator Martie Fellom. "A question and answer session will immediately follow the class until 1 p.m."
Tickets for Koresh Dance Company are available at the Columbia Theatre box office Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. or by phone at (985) 543-4371. Patrons may also purchase tickets online at columbiatheatre.org. Special student tickets are available for $16.
