Southeastern Student Union opens

HAMMOND - Stephanie Gardiner, left, a senior English major from Baton Rouge, accepts a gift bag from Southeastern Louisiana University Auxiliary Services Marketing Coordinator Robin Parker, for being the first student through the food line in The Mane Dish cafeteria located in the university's newly constructed portion of the War Memorial Student Union.
The first phase of the $32 million renovation and construction of the Student Union opened at 7 a.m. Monday morning. The project is being financed by self-assessed student fees.
