Southeastern Contemporary Dance Program to present concert March 18 and 19

HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Music and Performing
Arts’ Contemporary Dance Program presents “VOICES OF THE PLANET: 2020” March 18 and
19 at 7:30 p.m. in Vonnie Borden Theatre in D Vickers Hall.
Director of Dance Keith “Skip” Costa said the concert will include 11 dancers
performing in the program.
“Every decade the voices of our students and faculty are so very strong that
we dedicate a concert inclusively to help humanity gain a better understanding of
this complex world in which we live in,” Costa said. “This semester we present VOICES
OF THE PLANET: 2020, which is our third time having a concert with the same name.”
Dancers performing in the concert include Katelyn Boe, Madisonville; Trinity
Brown and Aaliyah Clark, New Orleans; Alaura Cervini, Metairie; Lathaniel Evans, Ponchatoula;
Brooke Harris, Denham Springs; Stephanie Harris, Slidell; Leigh Anna Moore, Clinton;
Emma Pinion, Loranger; Mary Pitts, Mandeville; and Montori Weber, Holden.
Tickets to the concert are $8 for students, seniors and military, $10 general
admission and will be available one hour prior to the performance in the Vonnie Borden
Theatre lobby.
