HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Industrial and Engineering
Technology has received a $25,000 contribution from the Contractors’ Educational Trust
Fund in support of the department’s Faculty Enhancement Fund.
The funds will support department faculty in attending workshops, training, industry
meetings and conferences providing resources to keep them ahead of technology and
informed on new trends in their fields of study. The contribution also provides support
for faculty research and development of new certification programs targeting adult
learners and those employed and wishing to earn customized educations that lead to
high demand employment opportunities.
The Contractors’ Educational Trust Fund is affiliated with the Louisiana State
Licensing Board for Contractors, and it provides grants in support of initiatives
supporting its industry to universities throughout the state.
