Southeastern hosts Foreign Language Festival

     HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University recently hosted the annual Foreign Language Festival on campus.
The festival drew schools from Orleans and St. Tammany parishes to compete in Spanish and French poetry, prose, and extemporaneous speaking categories and as groups in music.
     In group activities, Cabrini High School claimed first place in French and Spanish Music. Pope John Paul II Catholic High School received second place in French Music, while Mt. Carmel Academy placed third. In Spanish Music, Archbishop Hannan High School placed second and Mt. Carmel placed third.
     Individual winners, listed by parish and school, were:
