Southeastern Computer Science Department to present Industry Connect Lecture

SECOND INDUSTRY CONNECT LECTURE SCHEDULED - Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Computer Science is hosting the final fall Industry Connect Distinguished Lecture Nov. 3, at 4 p.m. Garth Kiepper of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana will present “Components of Enterprise Security” in room 2026 of the Computer Science and Technology Building.
HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Computer Science
is hosting the last of the fall Industry Connect Distinguished Lectures Nov. 3, at
4 p.m. Scheduled in the Envoc Innovation Lab, located in room 2026 in the Computer
Science and Technology Building, the free lecture is titled “Components of Enterprise
Security.” Garth Kiepper of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana will serve as guest
speaker.
Kiepper is a cybersecurity professional in the insurance industry who holds several
certifications relating to cybersecurity and systems administration. He graduated
with honors from Southeastern with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. Kiepper
previously worked for Southeastern’s Office of Technology in systems engineering and
information security. He has been involved in multiple software startups developing
and securing APIs and their underlying infrastructures and microservices across cloud
environments.
