Southeastern Computer Science Department to present Industry Connect Lecture

SECOND INDUSTRY CONNECT LECTURE SCHEDULED - Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Computer Science is hosting the second of the fall Industry Connect Distinguished Lectures Oct. 20, at 4 p.m. Guest speaker Justin Obney of Paystar and Elevator3 will present “Life is Weird and this should have been a TikTok” in room 2026 of the Computer Science and Technology Building.
HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Computer Science
is hosting the second of the fall Industry Connect Distinguished Lectures Oct. 20,
at 4 p.m. Scheduled in the Envoc Innovation Lab, located in room 2026 in the Computer
Science and Technology Building, the free lecture is titled “Life is Weird and this
should have been a TikTok.” Justin Obney of Paystar and Elevator3 will serve as guest
speaker.
Obney is the CTO of Paystar, a payment processing start-up based in Baton Rouge.
He is responsible for all engineering needs of the business, which serves hundreds
of clients across more than 33 states. Obney has over 14 years of professional experience
in environments, including consulting shops, enterprise IT departments, and SAAS product
companies. He is also the CTO and co-founder of Elevator3, where his primary focus
is unblocking development challenges and improving the company's infrastructure.
