HAMMOND – As high school students continue to face limited opportunities for national standardized testing, Southeastern Louisiana University has responded by becoming test-flexible. A test-flexible option allows new freshmen to submit any ACT, SAT, Pre-ACT, PSAT, Accuplacer, or ALEKS scores to be used for admission.
“We found the test-flexible approach would better fit the needs of our students,” said Anthony Ranatza, director of Admissions. “A freshman can be admitted to Southeastern as long as they have one of the listed alternate test scores to demonstrate college-level math or English placement.”
Southeastern is also offering a free admissions application through Monday, March 15, for the fall 2021 semester with no essays or recommendation letters required.
“We certainly understand the continued challenges with the pandemic, so we are pleased to offer these options to assist our future Lions,” said Ranatza.
