Growing up, communication sciences and disorders major Madison Harmon often accompanied her nonverbal little brother to speech therapy clinics. After seeing the progress he made in being able to communicate with their family, she knew she wanted to spend her life helping others in that same way.
Madison is now gaining the knowledge and skills needed to achieve her dream career of becoming a speech language pathologist, working with and enhancing the lives of people of all ages.
Action Plan
Build a lifelong network of friends by moving into campus housing.
Advocate for others as diversity liaison for the National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association.
Plan service opportunities and social events for peers as Honors Student Association social committee chair.
Apply to grad school.
