Southeastern Louisiana University Business Counselor Dillon Sullivan has been selected as a winner of one of the Small Business Development Center’s 2024 40 Under 40 Awards.
A two-year mentor within the Young Entrepreneurs of America program at Southeastern, Sullivan received his award thanks to his development of a program called Finance Benchmark Analysis, which allows any user to compare a currently operating business to industry benchmarks of businesses that are similar in scope and size. With this tool, users can analyze how their businesses compare to other norms across the industry, develop greater personalized analysis for facets within their companies, and find problems in a more efficient manner.
The award is given to those who exemplify a mastery of commerce and steadfast dedication to the growth of their communities. Sullivan is also the only recipient from Louisiana to receive this year’s 40 Under 40 Award. He will be recognized at the 45th Annual America’s SBDC Conference Sept. 11, in Atlanta.
“These ambitious leaders are changing communities and employing unique perspectives and strategies that resonate with a modern workforce,” said America’s SBDC President and CEO Charles “Tee” Rowe. “Small businesses thrive when they feel connected to a compelling mission and a community that supports their growth, such as the SBDC Network.”
America’s SBDC Network is a partnership uniting private enterprises, government, higher education, and local nonprofit economic development organizations. It is the Small Business Administration’s largest partnership program, providing management and technical assistance to help Americans start, run, and grow their businesses.
