Southeastern Computer Science Department to present Industry Connect Lecture
Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Computer Science is hosting the first of the fall Industry Connect Distinguished Lectures Sept. 18, at 4 p.m.

Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Computer Science is hosting the first of the fall Industry Connect Distinguished Lectures Sept. 18, at 4 p.m. Scheduled in the Envoc Innovation Lab, located in room 2026 in the Computer Science and Technology Building, the free lecture is titled “Alchemy of Responsible AI: Principles, Ethics, Integration.”
Phillip Jackson, principal software engineer manager at Microsoft, will serve as guest speaker.
“We are aspiring software craftsmen who want to make people happy using technology,” he said. “We code using solid principles and patterns. We are not sentimental about the code we write; we are sentimental about the way our software makes people feel.”
