Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Computer Science is hosting the second of the fall Industry Connect Distinguished Lectures Oct. 16, at 4 p.m. Scheduled in the Envoc Innovation Lab, located in room 2026 in the Computer Science and Technology Building, the free lecture is titled “Make It, Break It, Just Don’t Fake It: Problem Solving for Passion and Profit.”
Matthew Gill, lead site reliability engineer for Louisiana Blue, will serve as guest speaker. He has been a problem solver, systems administrator, and scripter for nearly 20 years. From working in the U.S. Marine Corps, education, radio, and currently the private sector, the majority of Gill’s experience has been focused on solving problems in a variety of interesting and creative ways.
