Southeastern Gmail Login Information

How to login…

Follow these best practices to login to your Southeastern Gmail to avoid errors:

  1. Use a computer and not a phone or tablet to login (especially for the first time) using a Chrome browser not an app.
  2. Log out of all personal email accounts on that device (hence 403 error or an account verification message).Ā  Incognito mode can also be used.
  3. Start a new browser instance and navigate to Southeastern Homepage>Quick Links>Gmail.
  4. Use your SLU Gmail username and the password that you set for your account to login.Ā 

Don’t know your Gmail username?

Your Gmail username is your Southeastern email address.Ā  SLU uses the format [email protected].Ā  Each email address is assigned upon admission to Southeastern. Ā If you do not know or have forgotten your email address, Southeastern provides a convenient online tool called Wnumber/Email Login Lookup that can be used to easily attain this information.Ā  **Note: Don’t forget to check the box indicating “I am not a robot”.

Don’t remember your password?

If you forget your Southeastern Account (Gmail) password, you must get your password reset before you can get logged into Gmail or any of the other Southeastern systems like Workday, SLU Secure Wireless Network, and Canvas.Ā 

Use Okta to set up your account password online so that you can manage it easily online yourself!

The other option to reset your password is to contact the Student Technology Center on our main campus in Hammond, LA and provide an official, valid picture identification in person or via a scheduled Google Meet Video Chat so that we can reset your password for you.Ā  For those choosing the Video Chat option, make sure that you are in a location with a strong internet connection and good lighting so that your picture ID can be viewed clearly.Ā  Visit Fayard 127 or Email: [email protected] for this or other technical assistance.

Important to know:Ā  The recommended way to access our systems is through your SLU Gmail account… (or you can choose to navigate to each of our systems separately which can are found under Quick Links and using your Gmail username and password to login)Ā Ā Once logged into your SLU Gmail, navigate to the “waffle cone” icon (nine dots that form a square in the upper righthand corner) scroll down to find a number of useful SLU system apps to conveniently access from there.Ā  You should find (not in any specific order):

  • the Workday student app (the system where you will complete onboarding, advising and then register for classes; use this site to help you navigate and complete Workday related tasks by using your W# and account password to login) **IMPORTANT to NOTE: Workday at Southeastern does not have a mobile app!!
  • the StarRez app (this is where you go to apply for on- campus housing)
  • the T2 app (parking portal where you can register your vehicleĀ inĀ order to park on campus)
  • the Canvas app (this is where you willĀ loginĀ inĀ order to takeĀ onlineĀ classes)
  • theĀ Handshake app (used for jobĀ search)
  • the Blackbaud app (this is used toĀ loginĀ to the scholarshipĀ portal)Ā 
  • the Finances app (to view and pay fees)
  • the Nelnet app (to access funds)
  • additional system apps will soon be added here for easy of access !
