How to log in...

From the Southeastern homepage, click on My Den>Webmail or go to the Gmail login page.  To login to your Southeastern gmail (Webmail), you must use your firstname.lastname@southeastern.edu as your username along with your Southeastern account password.

Example

username: John.Smith@southeastern.edu

initial password: SouthEasternMM-DD-yyyy

Your initial password is 'SouthEastern' + your birthdate in the format of MM-DD-YYYY.
(For example: October 2nd, 1982 would be SouthEastern10-02-1982)

Don't know your username?

Your Gmail (Webmail) username is your Southeastern email address.  This is normally in the format firstname.lastname@southeastern.edu.  This email address was assigned to you upon admission to Southeastern.  If you do not know or have forgotten your email address, Southeastern provides a convenient online tool called Email Login Lookup that can be used to easily attain this information.

Don't remember your password?

If you forget your Southeastern Gmail password, you must get your password reset before you can get logged in to Gmail or any of the other Southeastern systems like Leonet, Wireless, and Moodle.  There are two ways to set up the I forgot my password tool in order for you to reset your password yourself.  If you don't set up either the security questions/answers or the emergency alert system you cannot use the I forgot my password tool!  The third option to reset your password is to come to campus with a picture ID.

Option#1 - Set up your security question/answer option:  We strongly suggest that you enable the security questions/answers option in your account information when you first login.  It is best to select answers that only you will know and those that will be easy for you to remember and spell correctly.

Option #2 - Sign up in your Leonet for the Emergency Alert System:  We strongly suggest that you sign up important cell phone numbers for the Southeastern Emergency Alert System through your Leonet account.  Not only will this provide you valuable emergency alerts, but it will allow you to send a text message to your phone should you forget your password.

Option #3  Didn't set up your security questions or could have forgotten your answer?  Maybe you also didn't set up your phone number in the emergency alert system:  You can still get your password reset.  In order for the university to securely reset your password, you must travel to either Southeastern's campus (McClimans 111), the Livingston Literacy and Technology Centeror the Baton Rouge Center and provide official picture identification so that we can reset your password for you.  **Exceptions for in person resets apply ONLY to 100% Online Learning students (email techcenter@southeastern.edu for assistance).

Students needing assistance with technical
issues can receive help from the Southeastern Student Help Desk.
