First-Year SuccessDr. Angela Bezue is a Senior Academic Advisor for the Office for First-Year Success. She earned her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2021, where her research focused on principal leadership practices that impact teacher retention and student achievement. Before this, she served as a Coordinator for Campus Activities and Leadership Development at Southeastern and an Assistant Principal in Tangipahoa Parish. Her commitment to community extends beyond campus as an officer for the nonprofit Second Saturday Awareness & Action Group (SSAAG) of Tangipahoa. Dr. Bezue is known to students as a "college mom" for her passion for helping others thrive. She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and a Certified Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) Instructor.
