Biology major Baylee Baker is on a mission to stop contagious diseases by better understanding them and how they’re transmitted. Her fascination with epidemiology began with movies like Contagion and playing outbreak simulation games, sparking a passion for studying how diseases spread and how to stop them. Now, she’s turning that passion into action, preparing for her dream job as an epidemiologist for the CDC by mastering advanced biology and disease research techniques.

With a clear vision for her future, Baylee is immersing herself in opportunities to gain the skills and experience needed to excel in public health. From mastering advanced biology techniques to building leadership abilities, every step she takes is part of her plan to make a real impact on the world of disease prevention.
