Southeastern Louisiana University’s Southeastern Channel recently announced the addition of the Northshore Community Foundation to its roster of underwriting sponsors for the 2025/2026 academic year.

Founded in 2007, the foundation serves as a hub for philanthropy on the Northshore, connecting people, resources, and ideas to strengthen communities across the region. Through its work, the foundation helps donors and partners to drive solutions to local challenges and invest in lasting impact.

“At the foundation, we believe in investing in opportunities that shape our community’s future,” said Foundation President and CEO Leslie Landry. “The Southeastern Channel plays an important role in telling our region’s stories, while giving students hands-on experience that prepares them to be the next generation of leaders. Supporting their work is a natural fit for us.”

The sponsorship agreement allows for the purchase of additional supplies and equipment vital to channel productions and activities. Underwriting funds also allow for student participation in external conferences and events, such as the annual Southeast Journalism Conference.

In addition to Spectrum cable channel 199, the Southeastern Channel’s live 24-7 broadcast and selected on-demand content can be accessed on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, as well as the Spectrum App. The Southeastern Channel can also be viewed at thesoutheasternchannel.com and through its Facebook, Instagram and YouTube accounts.
