Health and Human Sciences

The Department of Health and Human Sciences offers three undergraduate programs in communication sciences and disorders, family and consumer sciences, and social work, as well as two graduate programs in communication sciences and disorders and counseling.

Our goal is to provide students with opportunities to grow personally and professionally, preparing them for their chosen careers.


  • Hands-on learning is emphasized through internships, service learning, and clinical practicum

  • The Discovery Project, supported through the social work program, is a family resource center providing services to families in south Louisiana


  • Southeastern's Communication Sciences and Disorders program announces the 2016 Campbell Conference. The conference will be held on February 26, 2016.  Mrs. Annmarie B. Clancy, M.A., CCC-SLP will be presenting on the following topic:
