About

Northshore Accelerated Nursing Program

The School of Nursing is proud to partner with St. Tammany Health System to offer an Accelerated Nursing Program catered specifically to Northshore residents. The Northshore-based program will be housed primarily at the St. Tammany Academic Center, strategically located near St. Tammany Health System's flagship St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, and Southeastern Louisiana University. This Accelerated Nursing Program is designed for those who already hold a bachelor's degree in a field other than nursing, offering them an opportunity to enter into this highly sought-after field. Students enrolled in the Accelerated Nursing Program can earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) degree in just 18 months, all while participating in a full-time cohort of like-minded classmates who also feel called to care.

All classes and laboratory/clinical experiences will occur on the Northshore and students will have priority clinical placement at the Health System’s St. Tammany Parish Hospital. Additionally, students in the program will be eligible to apply for scholarships from St. Tammany Health System’s board and may apply early for competitive nursing positions prior to graduation.
