TypeFocus is a free, interactive tool that helps you understand your personality, values, skills, and interests—all in one place. It’s research-based and designed to help you:

  • Understand your strengths
  • Explore careers and majors that fit you
  • Build a career roadmap and set goals
  • Measure your career readiness using the NACE Core Competencies

What to Do After You Take the Assessment

Taking the TypeFocus assessment is just the first step. To truly make sense of your results and plan your next move, connect with the right support:

  • Freshmen (1st–2nd semester): Share your results with your First-Year Success Advisor
  • 3rd-semester Freshmen to Seniors: Review and explore your results with your ACE Coach. You can schedule an appointment by clicking on their “Request an Appointment” link.
  • Seniors & Alumni: Make an appointment with one of our Career Consultants to finalize your career direction and plan for success. You can schedule an appointment through Handshake using your pre-made account (login with your [email protected] email and password).
