Miss Southeastern Louisiana University 2026
Miranda Sensat
Miranda Sensat, from Denham Springs, Louisiana, was crowned Miss Southeastern Louisiana University 2026 on January 31, 2026, at the Columbia Theatre for the Performing Arts. She is a senior Music Education major with plans to earn a Master’s degree in Bassoon Performance and a Doctorate in Musicology, with the goal of teaching music history at the collegiate level.
After losing her mother, DeAnne, to ovarian cancer, Miranda created her community service initiative, “Teal for Dee,” to raise awareness about the disease’s often-overlooked symptoms and to encourage women to advocate for their health. She also supports those navigating grief through campus outreach, reminding others they are not alone. Through events, education, and storytelling, Miranda honors her mother’s legacy with a simple message: keep going.
CAB has sponsored the Miss Southeastern Scholarship Pageant since the 1970s. Each Miss Southeastern goes on to compete in the Miss Louisiana Competition.
