On-Campus Interviews

Fall 2024 OCIs will be held from October 7th through November 22nd.

On-campus interviews are an efficient and highly cost effective opportunity for you as an employer to begin recruiting your organization’s future at Southeastern. Participating in on-campus interviews allows you to interview qualified Southeastern students and alumni for your full-time degree requiring positions and/or paid internship opportunities without the expense and labor involved in bringing candidates to your office. The Office of Career Services does most of the work for you! 

Here is how the process works:

  1. Review the OCI calendar below for available interview dates and log into your Handshake account to complete a New Schedule Request. If you do not already have a Handshake account, visit our How to Register in Handshake page. Once logged into Handshake, you will select the “Create New Schedule Request” in the right-hand list of quick links, under the Interviews section. (Visit How to Request an Interview in Handshake)

  2. When completing the New Schedule Request in Handshake, there are three options you can select according to your preference (see the option details below). When selecting your on-campus interview date, please take into consideration both the calendar of available dates and the timelines detailed below needed to maximize the coordination and promotion of your selected type of interview schedule.

  3. Once we receive your interview schedule request, we will be in contact with you within two business days confirming receipt of your request form. We will then work with you to reserve the interview date(s) and times requested.

  4. We will work to promote and market your job opportunity to students and/or alumni, collect the resumes of those interested, coordinate the interview schedule(s), and reserve a private interview room(s) for you in our office. 

Please note: Due to Southeastern’s hours of operation, Career Services will only be able to offer
On-Campus Interviews until 12:30 p.m. on Fridays.

* Open Schedule:

  • Students and alumni are allowed to sign up for, and are guaranteed, an interview with your organization.
  • Resumes are not sent to you for review and selection.
  • In order to allow ample time for our office to promote the interview(s) and to be of maximum benefit to you, please submit the registration form a minimum of 30 days prior to your interview date.

* Pre-Select Schedule:

  • Students and alumni are allowed to sign up for, but are not guaranteed, an interview.
  • A deadline for sign-up is established and publicized, resumes are uploaded to Handshake and forwarded to you  by Career Services, and then you select from those candidates for interviews, informing us of your selections at least 5 days prior to your interview date.
  • The remainder of the process is coordinated by Career Services.
  • In order to allow ample time for our office to promote the interview(s) and to be of maximum benefit to you, please submit the registration form 40-45 days prior to your interview date.

* Room Only OCI:

  • Room Only is for employers in need of interview space that have agreed to coordinate and schedule interview times directly with students and alumni.
  • Provides a central and convenient location on campus, with a waiting area for candidates in Career Services. 
  • Requires a 7 day advanced notice and is dependent upon room availability.
