official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities.

evaluated by the American Council on Education (ACE):

Unit type: Credits must be acceptable to the curriculum in which the student enrolls and must
not duplicate other college credit earned.

Honorably discharged veterans may be allowed credit for kinesiology and certain other
courses.

Credit may be granted for service schools where equivalence in terms of college courses
has been recommended for college credit in the “Guide to the Evaluation of Educational
Experience in the Armed Services,” published by the American Council on Education
(ACE).

Maximum number of credits or courses that may be transferred based on Department of
Defense supported prior learning assessments (College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
or DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST)):

Unit Type: Credit is given at Southeastern for CLEP General Mathematics Examination.

Transfer students with CLEP General Credit, other than mathematics, on their transcript
are encouraged to take the CLEP Subject Examinations or Departmental Examinations,
which the University accepts for credit.

Credit will be granted for CLEP Examinations in the course(s) are listed on the student’s
official transcript with a passing grade or the equivalent, and are within the policies
for credit at Southeastern.

Under agreement between Chauncey, a subsidiary of Educational Testing Services (ETS),
and the U.S. Department of Defense, Southeastern administers DANTES/DSSTs at the Office
of Testing. 

Credit will be entered on a student’s transcript upon receipt of an official transcript
from Chauncey group, provided the student achieves at or above the score accepted.

Describe other military/veteran transfer credit policies unique to your institution:

1) Credit is not granted for National Guard service.

2) Students may not receive credit through CLEP in courses in which the student has
earned a final grade at an accredited college or university.

3) A grade of P will be given on DANTES (DSSTs) and the course will not be computed
in the student’s average.

4) Unsuccessful attempts on DANTES (DSSTs) will not be recorded against the student.
