Announcement

At the Pennington Student Activity Center, our members are at the heart of every decision we make. Recently, we notified you that our non-student membership fees would increase beginning August 1, 2026. Since sharing that announcement, we have received thoughtful feedback from many of you.

We want you to know that we have listened.

After carefully considering your comments and concerns, we have decided not to move forward with the planned membership fee increase. Your non -student membership rates will remain unchanged, and the previously announced increase will not take effect on August 1st.

We sincerely appreciate the honest feedback you shared. Your input is invaluable and helps guide the decisions we make as we strive to provide the best possible experience for our members. We are grateful for the trust you place in us and remain committed to delivering exceptional service and value.

The Pennington Student Activity Center offers membership plans for students, faculty and staff, alumni, and friends of Southeastern. For all plans, “Additional Household Members” refers to any person 16 years of age or older who resides in the same residence as the primary member. Proof of shared residence, such as a driver’s license, lease agreement, utility bill, or copy of a check showing the same address, must be provided to Pennington Center staff at the time of registration. Daily guest passes are also available for $15.00, provided the guest is sponsored by a current member. To purchase a membership plan, please visit the Membership Desk at the Claude B. Pennington, Jr. Student Activity Center.

Locker and Towel Rental

The Pennington Student Activity Center offers a locker and towel rental service to its members for a small fee. Lockers and towels can be rented at the Membership Desk.

Locker rates:

Yearly Locker: $50.00 (includes towel rental)

Yearly Towel Rental: $40.00

Monthly Locker: $10.00

Monthly Towel Card: $5.00

Note: Pricing does not include applicable 10.5% sales tax.

Remember:

  • A towel is strongly encouraged for all of your fitness room workouts.
  • Only water is allowed behind the Control Desk. Water fountains are conveniently located throughout the Student Activity Center.
  • You must have a photo-ID to check in at the Control Desk. Students and faculty/staff must present their Southeastern ID.
