Southeastern Louisiana University is a recognized university to offer courses leading
to the IB Educator Certificate in Teaching and Learning: Primary Years Programme and
Diploma Programme.

In addition to your gained knowledge of the IB programmes, holding an IB educator
certificate means that you have exceeded IB professional development requirements for programme authorization and evaluation
purposes. Therefore, the requirement to attend an IB category 1 workshop is waived.
An IB educator or leadership certificate also meets the requirement for further professional
development at school evaluation (IBO, 2015).
